Europe Looks Up for First Total Eclipse Since 1999

A total solar eclipse will cross Greenland, Iceland, Portugal and northern Spain on Wednesday August 12th, marking the first total eclipse visible from central or western Europe since 1999. Royal Observatory Greenwich Astronomer Imo Bell says the event offers spectators a rare view of totality while giving scientists an opportunity to study the sun's corona.
