UK banks complete first interbank tokenized deposits transactions

Seven UK banks, including Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, Monzo, Nationwide, NatWest, and Santander, completed the country's first interbank tokenized deposit transactions. The tests moved tokenized deposits across separate institutions, a first for the UK financial system. This marks a significant step towards digital cash interoperability between banks.
