MetaMask’s Ethereum validator exit to wrap by October 7 after security incident

MetaMask began pulling Ethereum validators out of service on September 30, 2026, after flagging a security incident inside part of its infrastructure. The validator exit is now running on a tight clock, with Lido, the staking protocol hosting the affected validators, expecting the last of them to complete their exit by October 7.
