Canada's retaliatory tariffs against the U.S. took effect at midnight Tuesday, targeting hundreds of goods including steel, aluminum, appliances, electronics, wood, pulp, and paper. No negotiations are reported between the two countries. The Trump administration had levied 50 percent tariffs on $27.6 billion of Canadian goods two weeks ago.
