Blackstone-Backed ASK Hires Ex-Motilal Executive as Mutual Fund Chief

India's ASK Investment Managers Ltd. has hired Akhil Chaturvedi as chief executive officer of its mutual fund operations, according to people familiar with the matter. The appointment follows the company's regulatory nod to expand into the mutual fund business in February. Chaturvedi, a former Motilal executive, will lead the new venture.
