Judge to probe whether Trump officials lied in golf course case

Federal Judge Ana Reyes announced Friday she will appoint a special master to investigate whether Justice and Interior Department officials misled the court about plans to renovate a D.C. golf course. The probe could lead to sanctions or criminal referrals over contradictory statements about the closure, following a lawsuit by a preservation group and golfers.
