Tech giants warn time is running out to prepare for AI threats

OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and over 100 other companies warned Thursday that organizations have only months to prepare for AI-enabled cyberattacks. In an open letter, they call for collective action to secure critical infrastructure like hospitals and water plants. They urge raising security standards and fixing highest-risk weaknesses before the window closes.
