On October 29 at 8:32 pm, researcher Spreek detected an anomaly on Ethereum: a contract had emptied a Binance wallet of 167,464 ETH. Within hours, stablecoin issuers froze $2.54 billion, and Binance confirmed one of the biggest hacks in crypto history, with $5.8 billion drained.
