Researchers demonstrated a Windows 11 SYSTEM takeover by abusing Plug and Play to fetch signed vendor software for an emulated USB device. The same PnP path can be triggered over Remote Desktop without physical hardware when USB redirection is enabled. Microsoft has been notified of the vulnerability chain, which bypasses standard security controls on fully updated systems.
