Energy Department raises 2027 diesel price outlook by 33 cents amid Iran war

The Energy Information Administration raised its 2027 retail diesel forecast to $4.40 a gallon, up 33 cents from $4.07, citing tight global supplies and low inventories. It also raised 2026 forecast 22 cents to $5.07. President Trump acknowledged oil prices may not fall until after November's midterms.
