Bipartisan team in Congress looks to expand insurance coverage for ovarian cancer screening

Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) and Katie Britt (R-Ala.) introduced the Ovarian Cancer IMPACT Act, a bipartisan bill requiring insurance plans to cover genetic testing for patients with hereditary risk factors. The legislation also expands education and outreach about gynecologic cancer risk, with support from lawmakers in both chambers.
