Student protest unrest spreads across Europe

Police and protesters clashed in Liège, Belgium, on Wednesday as student anger over education costs grew, echoing protests in France. In France, a 15-year-old boy's hand was blown off by a police-fired stun grenade, and more than 6,500 people, mostly minors, have been arrested. Belgium has made at least 139 arrests since Oct. 1. Protests began in Paris in mid-September.
