Florida asks for order to halt ChatGPT development

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier asked for an emergency injunction against OpenAI and ChatGPT, claiming the company cannot properly regulate its own technology. The request cites a Sept. 26 Axios scoop that OpenAI and Anthropic face tens of thousands of security incidents. Uthmeier said, 'Stop calling it safe.' OpenAI said it is committed to working with Florida on pragmatic AI policies.
