N.J. removes noncitizens from voter rolls after finding software glitch

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D) ordered the removal of self-identified noncitizens erroneously added to voter rolls after a software error led to some 6,600 people being incorrectly registered. Fewer than 400 voted. Sherrill said there was no evidence any elections were swayed. She ordered an investigation into the registrations, which occurred under predecessor Gov. Phil Murphy.
