Google disrupts million-device XCPE Android malware botnet, bans TV box maker

Google and industry partners dismantled the XCPE malware botnet, which infected over 1.3 million Android TV streaming boxes. Google says the manufacturer intentionally infected the devices with malware to generate revenue through cybercrime activities. The takedown disrupts a large-scale operation and bans the TV box maker.
