A YC startup is putting $1M behind five unsolved materials science problems for AI

Discovered Materials, a YC startup using AI to find chip materials, is offering $200,000 for each solution to five unsolved materials science problems. The months-old company aims to accelerate discovery of new materials for semiconductors, with a total of $1 million in prize money across the challenges.
