US reups do-not-travel warning for Russia over ‘suspected pneumonic plague’

The U.S. State Department renewed its do-not-travel warning for Russia on Tuesday, citing a suspected case of pneumonic plague in Siberia's Irkutsk region. In a post on X, the department said the U.S. Embassy is aware of press reports of the suspected case, urging Americans to avoid travel to Russia.
