NovaGold Resources Inc., backed by hedge-fund billionaire John Paulson, struck a deal to obtain full ownership of the Donlin Gold project in Alaska. The move gives the company control over one of the largest undeveloped gold mines globally. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
