U.S. federal investigators pursuing the ShinyHunters hacking group, which recently stole sensitive data from the FBI, have identified executives at two ransomware negotiation firms with unusually close ties to the extortion group. One U.S.-based executive allegedly helped ShinyHunters operate a website pressuring victims to pay ransoms, according to KrebsOnSecurity.
