The Trump administration filed a 40-page emergency application on Sunday, asking the Supreme Court to allow it to bar the U.S. Postal Service from sending mail-in ballots to residents of certain states ahead of the midterms. Solicitor General D. John Sauer requested immediate permission to restrict mail voting.
