Bitcoin: IMF Finally Sheds Light on El Salvador’s Mysterious Purchases

El Salvador's official Bitcoin reserve reached about 7,764 BTC, with increases since June 2025 coming from private donations, not public funds, according to documents the IMF says it received. The State allegedly did not use public money for those purchases.
