Hegseth ousted top military strategist from Pentagon, sources say

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has removed Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, the Pentagon’s Director for Strategy, Plans and Policy, from his post, according to sources. Sylvia is the latest senior officer ousted since Hegseth took the helm nearly two years ago. The firing continues a pattern of leadership changes at the Department of Defense.
