State Department considering $100,000 bonds on green card applicants

The Trump administration is considering adding a $100,000 bond to green card applications for lawful permanent residence. State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said the administration is evaluating the six-figure bond to ensure immigrants are 'financially self-sufficient' and contribute more than they take from society.
