Centcom says Iranian sea mines cleared from Strait of Hormuz transit routes

The U.S. military announced Thursday it has cleared all Iranian sea mines along internationally recognized transit routes in the Strait of Hormuz. In a video posted on X, U.S. Central Command Commander Adm. Brad Cooper called it a major milestone. The operation aims to ensure safe passage for commercial shipping in the strategic waterway.
