BIP-110 Supporters Revive Minority Fork, Slash Block Size to Just 300 KB

BIP-110 supporters restarted the stalled Bitcoin fork this weekend, mining over 800 blocks so far. The fork, which occurred on Aug. 8, 2026, changes proof-of-work consensus from SHA-256d to Blake2b and reduces block size to just 300 KB. Developer Luke Dashjr has long advocated for these changes.
