The U.S. Army removed Lt. Gen. Charles Costanza, a top general overseeing forces in Europe, from command days before his scheduled end date, two U.S. officials told The Hill on Friday. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal personnel matters. The removal comes close to two months before his role was slated to end.
