Russia Sets July 2027 Deadline to Halt P2P Crypto Transactions

The Central Bank of Russia will ban P2P crypto transactions between Russian citizens using self-custody wallets starting July 1, 2027. Transfers from regulated brokers to self-custody wallets are also banned. All such transactions must go through regulated brokers, the bank clarified.
