Lamont wards off progressive challenge to face Fazio in Connecticut governor’s election

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D) was projected to win his Democratic primary, per Decision Desk HQ, defeating progressive challenger state Rep. Josh Elliott. Lamont faces state Sen. Ryan Fazio (R) in November, seeking a third term. This was the first gubernatorial primary in 50 years with an incumbent challenged.
