Ethereum's upcoming Glamsterdam fork on Oct. 6 will test a 200 million gas preference setting on the Sepolia testnet. Validators must opt in to participate, and the test does not change Ethereum's mainnet gas limit. The trial aims to evaluate network behavior under higher gas demand.
