China-aligned threat actor FamousSparrow has deployed a new modular C++ backdoor, SparroWocky, in attacks across Latin America since at least August 2025. ESET researchers Alexandre Côté Cyr and Romain Dumont detailed the malware in a technical report, noting its use in targeted intrusions against multiple countries.
