The Justice Department filed its first application in the Alien Terrorist Removal Court, a never-before-used federal court, to remove an unnamed noncitizen. Chief Judge Joan N. Ericksen questioned the connection between the person's alleged actions and the anti-terrorism law, ordering the government to provide more facts by Wednesday. The process could allow secret evidence in deportation cases if the DOJ wins.
