GMO Internet Group Warns Users to Unplug Computers as Hackers Threaten Ransomware Attack

GMO Internet Group warned users to back up data and unplug computers before noon Tuesday after hackers demanded about ¥8 billion ($51 million) in a ransomware threat. The breach reached trading accounts at more than 70 securities and foreign-exchange firms, with five FX margin-trading services breached. GMO said it will not pay the ransom.
