The digital ruble saw 87,000 account openings in ten days after its September 1 rollout, with over 50,000 transactions, per Bank of Russia governor Elvira Nabiullina. That's about 8,700 new accounts daily. The central bank-issued digital ruble is not a cryptocurrency.
