South Korea, Like Japan, to Classify Crypto as National Assets

South Korea plans to update its 1950 National Property Act to classify crypto and intellectual property as national assets. The country also plans a tokenized government bond pilot in 2027 and is reviewing state-owned real estate tokenization. Japan has similarly moved to classify crypto as financial assets.
