CFTC Seeks Dismissal of CME Challenge to Kalshi Bitcoin Contract

The CFTC filed an Oct. 16 reply supporting its Sept. 2 motion to dismiss CME's challenge to Kalshi's Bitcoin contract, arguing CME has not shown competitive harm. The court has not yet ruled on whether CME may sue or how perpetual contracts should be classified.
