New Windows Defender zero-day blocks Microsoft antivirus updates

Security researcher Abdelhamid Naceri, also known as Nightmare Eclipse, released a Microsoft Defender zero-day exploit over the weekend that blocks antivirus updates. The flaw prevents Defender from receiving critical signature updates, leaving systems exposed to new threats. Microsoft has not yet issued a patch, and Naceri published the exploit details publicly, increasing the risk of active attacks.
