US loses 23,000 jobs in July, unemployment dips slightly

The U.S. economy lost 23,000 jobs in July, and the unemployment rate dipped slightly to 4.1 percent, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Economists had expected 83,000 jobs added and the jobless rate to hold at 4.2 percent. This follows weak jobs numbers in June.
