Food safety crisis deepens for Taylor Farms with salmonella outbreak

Taylor Farms faces a food safety crisis connected to salmonella and cyclospora outbreaks. The FDA tracked 345 salmonella cases from jalapeños distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors, including 36 hospitalizations. Taylor Farms recalled products containing jalapeños, is no longer sourcing from that supplier, and seeks alternatives. A separate cyclospora outbreak involves 6,300 cases linked to Taylor Farms lettuce provided to Taco Bell.
