The Sixth Circuit ruled that states can police Kalshi's sports contracts, dealing another loss to the prediction market. The appeals court said Kalshi hadn't shown its sports contracts are swaps, and even if they were, federal law wouldn't stop Ohio and Tennessee from enforcing their gambling laws.
