Rain Seeks US Trust Bank to Custody Crypto and Issue Stablecoins

Rain filed an application with the OCC to create Rain National Trust Bank in New York. The bank would custody digital assets, manage stablecoin reserves, and issue dollar-backed stablecoins under the GENIUS Act. The filing follows the ICBA's lawsuit against the OCC over its crypto policies.
