US Treasury Sanctions Crypto Exchanges Over Alleged Iran and IRGC Links

The U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned two cryptocurrency exchanges, Shelbit Exchange and Iran-based Aban Tether, for allegedly helping Iran move funds outside traditional banking. OFAC also designated Siavash Kayvanpour and several linked companies in Georgia, Poland, and the UAE. Aban Tether does not appear connected to Tether the issuer.
