The Ethereum Foundation and Open Anonymity Project launched zkAPI on Ethereum mainnet on Oct. 1. The system uses zero-knowledge proofs and disposable API keys to let users prepay for AI and metered services without linking billing identity to each request, separating the payer from the purchase.
