MIT engineers have created an ingestible temperature sensor that can send continuous updates, measuring just six by four millimeters. The sensor is smaller than existing ingestible devices, which are often too large to swallow and risk GI obstruction. This innovation could provide more accurate core body temperature monitoring compared to oral or forehead thermometers.
