New York has a socialist mayor. Los Angeles may be next

Los Angeles voters could elect Nithya Raman, a democratic socialist, as mayor on Nov. 3, potentially joining New York's Zohran Mamdani. A September Berkeley IGS/L.A. Times poll shows Raman at 39% among likely voters, Bass at 28%, and 33% undecided. Raman leads 66%-4% among voters under 30.
